Position Highlights:

+ Flexible Scheduling: Work 4 hour-12 hour shifts. Your choice

Job Summary

+ The RN in the Med/Surgical/Pediatrics Department will be knowledgeable in the care of the following age groups and maintain RN clinical competency in these groups: Infant, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Sr. Adult, and Geriatric.

+ All nursing care functions/responsibilities are based on the ANA standards.

+ Responsible for the compliance of Physician/Provider orders.

+ Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics, Avera's Mission and Avera's Service Excellence Standards.

Education and/or Experience

+ Graduate of Registered Nursing Education program.

+ 3 years of experience required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

+ Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire and must be maintained.

+ ACLS is recommended.

+ PALS is highly recommended.

+ Attends all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.

+ Participates in educational opportunities and updates/maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.

Work Schedule

+ Hours:

+ Position requires 72 hours worked in a six-week schedule equating to 624 hours annually, not exceeding 1248 hours in a 12 month period.

+ Six weekends required annually.

Pay

+ Flat Rate pay of $50.00
