Duties * You will install and repair carpet, linoleum, and/or similar floor coverings such as asphalt, rubber or vinyl tile. * You will remove old floor covering from floors, and clean the surface by sanding, chipping or other means and fill up voids with mortar. * You will spread tile cement, cut, fit and lay asphalt and vinyl floor tiles. * You will study blueprints, work sketches or specifications to determine kind of material to be used. Working Conditions: The work is both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather and is exposed to dampness, dust, irritating and obnoxious fume when applying bonding material. The shops maybe noisy. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
