Duties * You will requisition office supplies, equipment, and publications.. * You will make complete arrangements for large conferences including extensive travel arrangements for participants. * You will use microcomputer and word processing software to create, edit, move, sort, copy, store and print a variety of correspondence and documents. * You will take and transcribe minutes of meetings, correspondence, reports, and telephone conversations involving both technical and specialized medical terminology. * You will plan the work of the office, distribute work, ensure the acceptability of both the quantity and quality of work performed, and perform a range of administrative supervisory functions etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Using an automated system (e.g., management information system, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), to extract information; * Assisting with clerical and administrative functions to support the needs of the organization; * Preparing reports and maintaining documents in electronic files for easy retrieval; * Verifying evaluations for accuracy prior to submission to cooperated leveled human resource, {e.g., Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS)}; AND * Reviewing forms and instructions ensuring they are approved and controlled.
