We are actively hiring a Chinese Linguist to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services. RESPONSIBILITIES * The linguist will conduct specialized collection of Science and Technology publication articles and patent applications, including full source-language text, in response to government guidance. * The linguist will conduct supplementary research from foreign language sources on equipment and technologies identified. * The linguist will translate selected technical documents upon request. * Work will be performed during ordinary hours (e.g., 8-5) in an ordinary work week (Monday-Friday). REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph * Bachelor's degree desired * Translation into English * Collection from published, online and broadcast media * Monitoring published, online and broadcast media while identifying relevant content * Selection * Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise * Translation Related Services * Writing reports PREFERRED SKILLS * Quality Control of language products * Writing Analysis * Subject Matter Expertise in Counterproliferation, Counterterrorism, Cyber, Military, Science and Technology and Social Media areas of focus
