We are actively hiring a Chinese Linguist to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services. RESPONSIBILITIES * Linguist will read, triage, review, summarize and translate large amount of data in source-language * The linguist will conduct supplementary research from foreign language sources on equipment and technologies identified. * The linguist should have familiarity with tasking, data collection, and targeting. * Linguist should either be a Native speaker, or a level 4 in reading. * Must be able to get along in a diverse team in a fast-paced environment with high stakes outcomes. * Work will be performed during ordinary hours (e.g., 8-5) in an ordinary work week (Monday-Friday). REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph * Bachelor's degree desired * Translation into English * Collection from published, online and broadcast media * Monitoring published, online and broadcast media while identifying relevant content * Selection * Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise * Translation Related Services * Writing reports PREFERRED SKILLS * Quality Control of language products * Collection, Monitoring, scanning, Selection, Terminology Management, Workflow, Writing Analysis, Writing Reports * Subject Matter Expertise in Counterproliferation, Geospatial, Military, and Science and Technology areas of focus
