Summary You will serve as a General Supply Specialistof NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Duties * You will review, analyze, and interpret logistics data from a variety of sources relevant to managed items. * You will provide input for preproduction planning to assure timely and effective positioning of support resources to meet initial needs during the introduction of the system to the Fleet. * You will serve as a lead field representative responsible for NAVSEA and NAVSUP WSS material stocked in DON and DOD activities * You will examine damaged equipment to salvage usable parts, subassemblies, and tests salvaged items for acceptability for re-use and/or evaluates potential for cannibalization. * You will select carcasses and direct shipment of repairable material to designated overhaul points. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Screening, inspecting, and documenting equipment received from contract, fleet units, and other stocking activities. 2. Maintaining accurate inventory records within Navy inventory systems. 3. Performing visual inspections and identifying unique visual markers on Navy equipment. 4. Practicing written and oral communication by advising inventory managers of equipment condition and completeness when a material discrepancy occurs.
