A week in the life of a Journeyman Marine Engineer: * Assist with Senior Mechanical Engineers in design, development, and evaluation of auxiliary systems. * Review third party design modifications and improvements to mechanical systems and components. * Assist with performing design reviews, evaluating constructability, helping resolve technical issues, and managing information generated through the design and construction phases.. * Conduct marine engineering analysis as they relate to vessels. * Create graphical representations of structures and systems. * Inspect equipment or systems. * Research of advanced engineering designs or applications. * Prepare technical reports for internal use. Job Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering * Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance At least 3+ years of experience in: * Marine Systems engineering At least 1 year of experience in: * Working with Microsoft office suite * Experience with Auto-CAD Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States.
