Duties As a Field Activity Manager at the NH-0301-4 some of your typical work assignments may include: * Provide facility infrastructure support and services to maintain MDA's East Coast logistical operations, to include warehouse space. * Direct operations for the East Coast facilities, warehouse, housekeeping, mail, design, project management and space functions. * Develop and implement policy, procedures, processes, and management systems to ensure all customer mission requirements are met. Facilitate process improvement and internal control initiatives. * Provide facility and logistical service/support to ensure requirements are established, maintained, or upgraded. * Provide leadership and guidance for vehicle maintenance, parking, housekeeping, supply, mail, critical systems, project management, and facility support. * Serve as MDA Program Manager for infrastructure provisions for Continuity of Operations (COOP). * Lead, guide, and mentor subordinates in achieving organizational goals and objectives. * Develop appropriate revisions to the systematic budget and scheduling options/alternatives to achieve maximum cost containment/avoidance while meeting the agency mission goals. * Review and assess program costs, schedule, and contractor/vendor performance. This position may be eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. * Selective Service Requirement: Please visit http://www.sss.gov for more information * Must obtain/maintain Non-critical Sensitive/Secret security clearance * May be required to successfully complete a Supervisory probationary period Qualifications You may qualify at the NH-04 broadband level if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: * Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise staff, to include developing performance plans, evaluating work performance of subordinates, and administering personnel matters * Experience advising and assisting leadership in the development of strategic plans * Experience conducting long-range planning for assigned program areas. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
