SHARP Program Prevention Specialist

Duties * Analyze, assess, and clearly communicate program objectives, policies, operations, and resource data to ensure efficiency in the development and execution of the command's SHARP-related prevention activities. * Conduct environmental scans and determine the manner or type of needs assessment that is most appropriate. * Identify efficiencies in primary prevention development and delivery. * Use professional knowledge to support the command's integrated prevention efforts to include planning, implementation and evaluation of outcomes against sexual harassment and sexual assault. * Provide professional consultation services, advice and assistance to commanders and requesting staff on complex technical problems within the command pertaining to the SHARP Program. * Represents the organization in collaboration efforts, at briefings, and at other meetings to present SHARP Program prevention initiatives and implementation plans, SHARP Program prevention plan design and SHARP Program prevention impact findings. * This position may require occasional temporary duty (TDY) business travel. * Position requires working overtime on evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Incumbent must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: coordinate activities among the community to promote prevention of sexual harassment and assault; conduct risk assessments to identify the need for specific types of preventative training required at various locations throughout the organization; provide recommendations regarding administrative or operational aspects to enhance readiness across numerous organizations concerning the prevention of sexual harassment and assault. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
