Energetics / Explosive Engineer with Security Clearance

We are seeking an experienced Energetics / Explosive Engineer to join our team supporting the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at Ft. Liberty, NC. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment on cutting-edge projects in support of national security efforts. Program and projects may vary in complexity, scope, resourcing, technology readiness levels, and other factors. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have an active Secret clearance. Responsibilities : * Provide technical expertise in the field of energetics and explosives * Familiar with testing and baselining safety and operational requirements, maintaining blast reports and inventory, and determining delays and various heights of standoff and material composition for optimal results * Apply advanced technical principles, techniques, theories, and concepts of energetics, and have basic knowledge of other related disciplines * Respond to requests from forward-deployed personnel for technical information and/or advice on how to employ explosive materials in novel and unique applications safely and effectively * Set up and conduct test events evaluating experimental explosive charges and techniques. Ensure compliance with industry-standard safety protocols and regulations * Possess a solid fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering principles such as advanced mathematics, general physics, materials engineering, vector analysis, and thermodynamics Qualifications : * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field * Minimum of 12 years of experience working with explosives and energetics * Experience in conducting testing and analysis of explosive devices * Familiarity with relevant safety standards and protocols Preferred Qualifications : * Master's degree or higher in a related field * Top Secret clearance * Prior experience working with USSOCOM or other military organizations * Certification in explosive safety or related areas.
