LEAD CONTRACT SPECIALIST with Security Clearance

Summary You will serve as a LEAD CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Long Lead Time Material Branch (Code 414), Contracts Procurement Division (Code 410), Contracts Department (Code 400) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Duties * You will develop and award contracts under the cognizance of MARMC. * You will provide direct guidance and training coordination to other contract specialists. * You will identify, distribute, and balance workload tasks among team members. * You will monitor and report on the status and progress of work. * You will develop contract strategy, considering the availability of funds, extent of competition, urgency, production lead time, delivery requirements, need for government furnished material/property, and option requirements. * You will review specifications and statements of work. * You will ensure that all contract documentation is complete and accurate. Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience conducting conferences, negotiation sessions.
* Experience mentoring and training employees and interns.
* Experience awarding firm fixed price and cost type contracts.
* Experience implementing knowledge of the FAR, Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulations (DFARS), Navy Marine Corp Acquisition Regulations (NMCARs), NAVSEA Contracting Handbook, The Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), and contract law and legal precedents.
* Experience coordinating a team in an industrial environment.
