INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST with Security Clearance

Duties * You will identify and solve a wide variety of Electro Optics and Infrared complex problems with many competing objectives, variables and constraints. * You will deliver optimized technical solutions that are balanced to achieve required technical performance within cost, schedule and technology constraints for Electro Optics and Infrared systems. * You will work on varied, complex equipment systems and subsystems associated with research, innovation, or reengineering assignments and demonstrates competence and creativity in developing new concepts. * You will function as a project lead, program manager, team lead or member of an integrated team/group providing technical guidance to a technical workforce and meeting customer requirements for products and/or services. Education For 08XX series: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) ; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
