We are currently looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Calibration Technician to join our team with one of our clients. I would like to tell you a bit more about this position and learn a few things about you, as well.   

 

Title: Electro-Mechanical Calibration Technician

Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite Role)

Contract position

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic torsion tests to calibrate torque sensor systems.
  • Execute production processes, including demagnetization, magnetization, mechanical testing, and environmental testing.
  • Evaluate and enhance sensor performance based on various parameters.
  • Operate, maintain, and upgrade major equipment and subsystems.
  • Collaborate with engineers to acquire and analyze data, optimize calibration and testing processes, and improve overall efficiency and safety.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in a related role.
  • Background in mechanical testing and data acquisition is preferred.
  • Experience with control systems, automated machinery, or data acquisition setups.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Proficiency with LabVIEW, MTS Test Suite, or Python is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent mechanical, electrical, and software skills.
  • Familiarity with wiring harness assembly, soldering, and machine shop skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Understanding of sensor or instrumentation calibration protocols.

 

Education:

  • An Associate’s Degree in machining, mechanical technology, electronics, automotive technology, or CNC machinery is preferred, but candidates with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
