Summary You will serve as a SECETARY (OA) in the JEB LITTLE CREEK-FORT STORY of JOINT EXPED BASE LITTLE CREEK FT STORY. Duties * You will be preparing reports, correspondence, and other documents from drafts. * You will be relaying messages and or other pertinent information to staff members for issues impacting schedules, meetings and other day to day functions. * You will be initiating travel arrangements for assigned staff members. * You will be scheduling meetings and conferences for assigned staff members. * You will be maintaining administrative records and/or files, ticklers, and and other documents as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining files, records, and log books associated with various administrative or operational actions and/or correspondence; 2) Receiving visitors or telephone calls and directing them to the appropriate staff members or directly handling the request for routine office issues; 3) Maintaining, updating, and rearranging schedules, calendars, and meetings of staff personnel using various office tools as requested; 4) Preparing, drafting, and finalizing correspondence for staff members for signature and dissemination as requested in accordance with policies and regulations; 5) Arranging travel arrangements using automated software systems (such as DTS) for staff members along with compiling associated briefs, correspondence and reports.
