Phase II is actively seeking an innovative and highly-driven individual to join our growing team at Ft Campbell, KY supporting the Screaming Eagle Network University (SENU). The right candidate will serve as a Tactical Communications Instructor for Army Tactical Radio and WIN-T Tactical Communications Systems training IAW the established curriculum and training schedules ensuring the training encompasses all operational aspects of any communications equipment included in the course of instruction. 
Duties include: • Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology of the field of tactical communications to include teaching communication systems employment and techniques.  • Knowledge of the technical theory of tactical communications in order to teach the characteristics, functioning, installation, inspection, operation and operator maintenance of a variety of field communication equipment  • Skill in instructing in order to guide students in the full range of learning experiences and evaluate progress. Ability to utilize a variety of instructional techniques such as lecture, demonstration, or laboratory exercises.  • Knowledge of tests and measurement theories and techniques in order to insure validity, objectivity, and reliability of written and practical examinations  • Practical knowledge of education and training principles, techniques and practices in order to provide technical guidance to course writers and instructors.  • Serves as training instructor and participates in course development.   • Instructs students at the Screaming Eagle Network University in the areas of Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS), tactical communications, and satellite communications.   • Presents various MCIS application lessons and training using various systems to individual operator, advanced operators, refresher training, seminars, lectures, practical exercises, and other activities to company and field grade officers.   • Participates substantially in original course development or course modification. Locates and researches complex, detailed training source material (government regulations, manuals, technical orders, schematics and wiring diagrams, commercial publications, vendor-supplied or information technology via automated means) to ensure currency, adequacy, and accuracy of course documents such as Develops Soldier's Training Publications (STP), Mission Training Plans (MTP), Programs of Instruction (POI), Course Administrative Data (CAD) Sheets, resident and exportable lesson plans, examinations, practical exercises, and student handouts. Develops TSPs for MCI, and various other Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence (C4I) systems in various training configurations to meet training objectives.   • Provides mentorship to system operators on MCIS capabilities. Develops, reviews, and edits training materials as required. Presents lectures explaining the theories and applications of information systems used in the 101St Airborne and the organizations involved in the development and support of these systems.   • Develops supporting instructional material such as computerized exercises, memos, references, and test items.   • Reviews and revises course materials that include the latest developments in information systems.   • Prepares and administers formal and informal tests or quizzes, reviewing them for accuracy, appropriateness of material coverage, and student understanding of the material. Observes student classroom activity and participation.   • Develops data collection instruments such as interviews, questionnaires, and checklists. As necessary, counsels students in the areas of performance, conduct, behavior, demeanor, attitude, and/or participation. Upon completion of counseling, completes appropriate form with recommendations and submits to supervisor.   • Recommends appropriate scheduling of assigned course and performs coordinative duties as required.  • Serves as subject-matter expert and consultant for MCIS applications.   • Acts as principal advisor on development of new technologies in decision support and course of action analysis tools, integrated simulations training devices, and C4ISR digital systems.  • Collaborates with the program manager office of automated information systems and mission command systems to develop training on systems at different levels of command and control.  • Determines required information sheets, supplementary texts, testing materials, practical exercises, and other written aids.   • Keeps abreast of changes in software and equipment, ensuring the correct information is taught within courses. Researches, evaluates, and integrates simulations packages into digital MCIS where applicable.   • Performs research and development to continually increase technical knowledge of Mission Command and Signal communications by reviewing and analyzing technical and training literature.   • Performs preventive maintenance as required on communications equipment, MCIS, and equipment to which assigned.  • Maintains records of troubleshooting and consulting for software changes and equipment coordination.   • Analyzes reports and recommends program/equipment changes to the Institutional Digital Education Plan (IDEP) Project Manager.   • Coordinates all fielding of new system equipment to the 101st with the Department of Training Support to the appropriate departments.   • Monitors technological advancements, new equipment introduced into the Army system, and any upgrades in current communications-electronics equipment inventory and incorporates relevant data into instruction.   • Counsels students in the areas of academic skills and research methods in accordance with current program regulations and policy. Make recommendations for improved system performance based on direct knowledge and experience.   • Receives training from external agencies in potentially classified environments. Safeguards classified training materials.   • Prepares POI waivers and equipment requests to negate equipment and process deficiencies. Independently develops, modifies, and/or updates lesson plans and courses pertaining to complex systems and advanced theoretical principles and techniques in communications and information technology.   • Assists development of new courses requiring technical input for MCIS applications and information management processes and techniques.   • Supports course development and modification of non-standardized complex systems with lesson formats in various levels of completion requiring further development/modification of information management related principles and techniques. This will typically involve researching source material, with inadequate or incomplete lesson plans, and can require extensive adaptation of existing training courses.   • Determines appropriate instructional techniques such as conference, demonstration, lecture, or self-paced learning programs. Develops visual aids as necessary and/or uses available material. Manages the administration of Learning Management Systems (LMS) for the Branch. Responsible for providing IM/IT administration and support to the Branch as requested, including account sign up, course creation, updates, and troubleshooting.   • Coordinates more technical problems with 101st System Administrators to manage LMS, including system upgrades, regularly scheduled back-ups, course archiving, registration, etc. Assists faculty across disciplines with instructional design tips and methodologies.    • Other duties as assigned.  Minimum Qualifications:   • Possess and maintain a valid US passport and driver’s license.  • Possess and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance  • Possess Instructor Training Course (ITC) or Common Faculty Development – Instructor Course (CFD-IC) within last five (5) years • Minimum of four (4) years of experience within the preceding six (6) years instructing IA courses or worked directly in the IA field during four (4) of the preceding six (6) years.  • Qualified candidates shall possess the certifications for the courses to be taught  Education:   4 year degree related field (i.e. IT or similar) or substitute 3 years of experience    Job Type: Full-time
