Description of Duties: The Systems Administrator Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: • Provide Tier III IT Operations and Maintenance support. • Specialize in the administration and operations of Linux and Microsoft environments. • Perform Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) cybersecurity compliance, operational sustainment, and other general IT tasks as required to ensure continuous performance and ATO. • Manage system configuration and operation of servers. • Manage, configure, and maintain client based computer systems. • Perform system monitoring, scanning, and response activities. • Perform administration operations and maintenance activities of hardware and software. • Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot system errors and client system issues. • Perform and maintain DoD Information System Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance with routine patching for updates released by vendors. • Manage, update, and maintain configuration management of all configuration changes to systems, patches and anti-virus software updates. • Perform system analysis for virtual service health status to include resource utilization and performance requirements to ensure optimal performance of systems. • Perform routine scans and anti-virus software updates on all systems. • Perform system automation activities utilizing scripting tools/languages. • Provide System Administration support for IT related meetings and configuration change board reviews. The successful candidate will: • Have a deep problem-solving background with accompanying troubleshooting skills. • Be able to work independently as well as collectively within a team. • Be able to apply critical thinking techniques. • Be able to effectively communicate with customers and other team members, both orally and in writing. • Be able to quickly adapt to new situations and a willingness to learn new technologies. This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO. This position is expected to pay $122,900 - $147,900 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. Typical benefits offered include flexible work schedules and opportunities to work remotely, educational reimbursement, retirement benefits (401K match), employee stock purchase plan, health benefits, tax saving options, disability benefits, life and accident insurance, voluntary benefits, paid time off and paid holidays, and parental leave. #cjpost Here's what you'll need: Basic Requirements: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 12 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 10 years of general experience; Master's degree and 8 years of general experience • Must have 9 years of directly related experience • Must have 3 years of experience working in a management or leadership role • Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security CE Certification) • Must have an active DoD Top Secret (w/ SCI) Security Clearance Desired Requirements: • Be proficient in Windows Systems Administration • Have Windows client and server certifications • Be proficient in Linux Systems Administration • Have a RedHat certification • Have experience with virtualization solutions (VMware, OpenShift, etc.) • Have experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) • Have experience with DevOps tools (Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), Docker, Puppet, Ansible, etc.) • Cisco Networking experience • Have experience with automation solutions, systems provisioning and management solutions • Have experience with scripting or software development • Have experience with Operating System hardening (DISA STIGs, etc.)
