Salary: $90K-$110K Based on experience PatchPlus Consulting is a leading provider of military Subject Matter Experts for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Our Advance Tech Team works on government contracts such as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) projects on the cutting edge of national security and defense modernization. We are currently seeking a Program Manger/Software Engineer with expertise in AI/ML, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), manufacturing, cyber, digital engineering, Human-Machine Teaming (HMT), or Human Systems Engineering to join our team. Job Description:
As a Program Manager you will lead Teams in research and development efforts with a focus on SBIR/STTR. This role involves designing innovative solutions and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Your work will directly support critical national security and defense missions. Must have experience and skills necessary to • Provide technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools. • Analyze data gathered, develop information and consider viable solutions or alternate methods of proceeding. • Organize and documents findings of studies and prepares recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures or organizational changes.
• Conduct operational management effectiveness reviews, • Supervise and assigns work to staff/Manage schedules and adhere to timelines.
• Design, develop, and integrate systems for SBIR/STTR projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system implementation.
• Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of systems.
• Ensure compliance with security and safety standards.
• Document engineering processes and create technical reports.
• Participate in/Lead design reviews and project planning meetings.
• Develop research plans; analyze and provide solution to research problems. • Lead research projects specific to SBIR/STTR technologies, from concept to implementation.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and other researchers to develop innovative SBIR/STTR solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior researchers and engineers. Required Qualifications:
• US Citizen
• TS Clearance/ SCI eligible • Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline).
• At least 6 years of related experience
• Program Management Experience
• Expertise in one or more of the following areas: AI/ML, MBSE, manufacturing, cyber, digital engineering, HMT, or Human Systems Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with SBIR/STTR projects.
• HTML5 and CSS3
• Coding and debugging JavaScript
• Query, REST, JSON, AJAX, AngularJS.
• Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Matlab, R
• Source control systems (e.g. DevOps)
• JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, CSS
• Version Control Tools (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps)
• One or more of the following: Java, J2EE, MVC
• Designing/developing the UI for websites & web applications
• SQL, Microsoft SQL Server & relational database development
• Strong coding skills
• Ability to analyze and understand business needs
• Ability to understand a problem and develop the algorithms to solve it
• PWA (Progressive Web Application) Frameworks (e.g. VUE2, VUE3, Angular 8)
• Configuring JavaScript, TypeScript, and PWA Environments (e.g. configuration files, package management, etc.) Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of DoD and intelligence community processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with technical writing.
