Software Developer/Coder for ADV TECH

Our Advance Tech Team works on government contracts such as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) projects on the cutting edge of national security and defense modernization. Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer/Coder to join our team and work on our Advance Tech team in support of SBIR and STTR projects. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in software development, coding, and system integration in a defense or intelligence context. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software applications that support Advanced Tech/SBIRS missions. Specifically: • Analyze computer software possessing a wide range of capabilities, including numerous engineering, business, and records management functions. • Develop plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion. • Analyzes user interfaces, maintains hardware and software performance tuning, analyzes workload and computer usage, maintains interfaces with outside systems, analyzes downtimes, and analyzes proposed system modifications, upgrades, and new COTS. • Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. • Analyzes information requirements. • Analytically and systematically solves problems. • Develop plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion. • Design, develop, and maintain software applications for SBIRS projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and project managers.
• Ensure software solutions meet security and compliance standards.
• Perform software testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Document software development processes and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices. Required Qualifications: • US Citizen
• CURRENT TS Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Six (6) years of relevant experience or a BS/BA with three (3) years relevant experience, or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with one (1) year of relevant experience
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Java.
• Experience with software development tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with security and compliance requirements in a defense context.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with UI/UX Design Principles and Patterns
• Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies (e.g. SpaCy)
• Data Indexing and Search technologies (e.g. elastic)
• Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
• Cloud Architectures
• HTML5 and CSS3
• Coding and debugging JavaScript
• Query, REST, JSON, AJAX, AngularJS.
• Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Matlab, R
• Source control systems (e.g. DevOps)
• JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, CSS
• Version Control Tools (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps)
• One or more of the following: Java, J2EE, MVC
• Designing/developing the UI for websites & web applications
• SQL, Microsoft SQL Server & relational database development
• Strong coding skills
• Ability to analyze and understand business needs
• Ability to understand a problem and develop the algorithms to solve it
• PWA (Progressive Web Application) Frameworks (e.g. VUE2, VUE3, Angular 8)
• Configuring JavaScript, TypeScript, and PWA Environments (e.g. configuration files, package management, etc.) Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Small Business Innovation Research (SBIRS) or similar projects.
• Knowledge of DoD and intelligence community processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
