Logistics Management Specialist with Security Clearance

Duties * Review DOD and DA transportation/logistics support policies/entitlements in order to advise senior leaders on the impact of any changes. * Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist analyzing data relating to transportation operations specifically within the Second Destination Transportation (SDT) mission. * Develop and implement procedures and practices that ensure the Army operates effectively and efficiently within the DoD and commercial systems. * Provides advice and recommendations in situations when guidelines and procedures do not exist and where there are differences of opinion and approaches among the participants within the programs. * Coordinates actions including those dealing with policy with Department of Defense (DoD), other Army Staff elements, the Joint Staff, USTRANSCOM, Office of the Secretary of Defense, (OSD) and other concerned organizations. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Position requires incumbent employee to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. * Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 20% of the time.
