Procurement Specialist needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Springfield, VA. Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required Responsibilities * Supplier contract negotiation and administration; supplier development, sourcing, and supply-base diversity and cost management; supplier relationship management; supplier contract regulatory compliance, DFAR Business System (Purchasing) compliance, and supplier-contract risk management. Impact: * Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the work area/project team. * Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments. * Sets objectives for own area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments. * May assist other professionals with tasks and assignments. * Works with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements to include using a credit card for micro purchases. * Works with programs in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish. * Maintains reports and monitors material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences. * Coordinates forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership. * Provides advice to programs as to proper routes to take that will be to the greatest benefit of the program. * Analyzes material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, acquisition planning * Engages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy. * Manages production and delivery schedules Qualifications * Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph - we will not sponsor * Typically requires a BA degree and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $90,000, - $105,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
