Procurement Specialist needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Springfield, VA
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required Responsibilities
• Supplier contract negotiation and administration; supplier development, sourcing, and supply-base diversity and cost management; supplier relationship management; supplier contract regulatory compliance, DFAR Business System (Purchasing) compliance, and supplier-contract risk management
Impact:
• Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the work area/project team.
• Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.
• Sets objectives for own area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.
• May assist other professionals with tasks and assignments.
• Works with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements to include using a credit card for micro purchases.
• Works with programs in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish.
• Maintains reports and monitors material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
• Coordinates forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.
• Provides advice to programs as to proper routes to take that will be to the greatest benefit of the program.
• Analyzes material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, acquisition planning
• Engages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
• Manages production and delivery schedules Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph - we will not sponsor
• Typically requires a BA degree and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $90,000, - $105,000
This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location
