Summary You will serve as a Senior Office Manager in the Research & Development Group, Weapons & Warfare Systems Test Dept., of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Duties * You will provide a full range of administrative support duties including planning, coordination and prioritization of tasks. * You will interpret and adapt policies, guidelines, procedures, and regulations to new or unique situations in a dynamic and complex work environment. * You will screen incoming telephone calls and walk-in visitors for proper channeling. * You will assist employees with travel arrangements by performing travel preparation and processing travel documents through Defense Travel System Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade pay band (DG-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all the following: 1) Providing office and administrative support to the senior leaders, administrative officer and department including scheduling and arranging meetings, managing calendars and schedules, and coordinating conference rooms; 2) Communicating clearly and effectively both orally and in writing ensuring proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, format and effective presentation of information; 3) Preparing and prioritizing department correspondence, communications, reports, security memos while maintaining confidentiality; 4) Making travel arrangements, both foreign and domestic using the Joint Travel Regulations, Joint Federal Travel Regulations, the Defense Travel System, Travel Charge Card; 5) Identifying the causes of problems, choosing courses of action, making timely/effective recommendations, and providing alternate perspectives/solutions that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders.
