Summary You will serve as an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER in the NAVAIRWARCENADLKE, SE Department, PEO U&W Division, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Branch (BL24100). This announcement uses the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. Duties * You will analyze electrical/ electronic system or equipment malfunctions to evaluate and recommend repairs required to restore to operational readiness and specification and technical requirements. * You will participate in meetings to brief management and program managers on project results, status, and potential problems. * You will resolve technical conflicts involving unique situations with aircraft or weapons systems * You will develop written electrical engineering studies in support of the functional and operational requirements of the project. * You will develop test procedures or methods to evaluate electrical or electronic system requirements or performance. Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance.
