Summary/Objective

We are currently seeking a Senior Logistician to support Aviation SE Logistics Programs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as the overall logistics lead for the contracted effort in support of aviation SE logistics programs or projects.
  • Leads the application of logistics and technical services to support strategic decision making for DoD aircraft SE logistics programs/projects.
  • Resolves complex problems. Performs logistics, technical, or business case analyses.
  • Participates as a member of and/or supports the DoD aircraft SE logistics program or project team.
  • Applies government-instituted processes for cradle-to-grave product support and logistics data management.
  • Leads the activities of Journeyman and Junior Logisticians as necessary on activities related to the application of logistics techniques, policies, or processes.
  • Performs tasks with little or no guidance.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Over 10 years of experience in acquisition and sustainment logistics , plus a minimum of three (3) years’ experience out of the ten (10) performing comprehensive logistics program management across numerous programs or platforms within the DoD.
  • Experience must include: Prior experience and project management with logisticians in the performance of comprehensive analysis across the spectrum of ILS elements during a job assignment in or in support of an operational command and that demonstrates the ability to perform independent work to provide logistics and support system effectiveness analysis, studies and evaluations.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree (MS or MA) from an accredited college or university. Allowable substitution: BS/BA and 12 years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and sustainment logistics with at least 4 years out of the 12 years in leading DoD aviation maintenance activities/

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as work requirements demand.

 

Travel

Occasional travel may be required for this position.

 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

This position requires an active US DoD Top Secret clearance.  Ability to obtain SCI required accesses a must.

 This position is contingent upon contract award.
