Duties * Monitor the Future Soldier Training Program (FSTP) to detect trends in recruiting practices that tend to increase discharge requests. * Process waiver request on behalf of Company Commanders and Field Recruiters. * Serves as the final clerical reviewer for discharges submitted to the Battalion Commander. * Process military discharge request on behalf of the assigned Battalion. * Maintain waivers and Future Soldier Training Program (FSTP) data in accordance with established organizational procedures. * Utilize Army directives to determine suitability of army medical waivers. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. * This position may require some travel to support the program. * A qualified typist is required along with a working knowledge of computers and various computer programs/applications. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) processing actions on behalf of assigned organization; (2) preparing reports regarding personnel actions; (3) analyzing personnel documents to make recommendations and determine eligibility; and (4) reviewing documents to assure they are in accordance with established guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
