LMI advances the pace of progress, enabling our customers to thrive while adapting to evolving mission needs. LMI is seeking a Data Science Manager to support a client located at Fort Belvoir, VA. Currently, all work is full-time telework with office visits as needed. Responsibilities This data science manager will oversee a team of data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts to support advanced analytics projects for Army customers. Responsibilities include: * Project management over data activities to ensure timely delivery in a reactive and agile environment. * Lead customer engagement and translate requirements into team priorities. * Engage technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business processes, analytical requirements, key data elements, etc. * Define and develop techniques to integrate, consolidate, and structure data for analytical use. * Develop briefing packages to communicate complex ideas to non-technical customers. * Travel: Minimal, less than 10% Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * DoD Secret clearance required. Must have, at a minimum, an active Interim Secret Clearance. * Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. * 8+ years of related work experience. * Experience leading a team of advanced analytics professionals. * Experience with Agile project management. * Experience with big data and big data technologies. * Experience with data visualizations and interactive dashboards. * Superior communication skills, both oral and written. * Ability to influence and align others and move toward a common vision or goal. DESIRED SKILLS: * Graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. * Experience working with data analysis tools including object-oriented programming (Python, Java), computational analysis tools (R, MATLAB), and associated data science libraries (scikit-learn). * Experience with Palantir's Foundry platform. * Experience with US Army data.
