Job Details for HVAC Technician:
- Full-time Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
- Pay Rate: $18-23/hr, Negotiable based on experience
- Direct Hire opportunity with health and wellness benefits
- Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and ventilation systems, according to specifications and building codes.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Identify problems with HVAC systems by performing tests, inspections, and diagnostic procedures, and develop solutions to resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities, including equipment installed, repairs performed, and parts used, for documentation and billing purposes.
- Coordinate with other technicians, contractors, and project managers to complete installation and repair projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Respond to emergency service calls, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to address urgent HVAC issues and ensure uninterrupted operation for clients.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant HVAC certification (e.g., EPA 608, NATE) and state licensing as required.
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of heating and cooling systems.
- Must be flexible to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak seasons or for emergency service calls.
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of HVAC equipment, tools, and diagnostic instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in identifying and resolving HVAC system issues.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
