Job Type: PT 0.4-0.6 FTE | Days | Weekends and On-Call per MNA Contract

$12,000 Sign-on Bonus with two (2) year commitment to that role. Open to external applicates who have not been previously employed by CMC in the last rolling 9 months.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • BLS for Healthcare Provider and ACLS upon hire
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Critical Care (ICU/CCU)
  • Experience in in all Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging Department modalities: Fluoro OR, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and general Fluoroscopy required
  • Experience in the administration of Moderate Sedation and recovery of post sedation patients required
  • BSN preferred
  • Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) and/or Certification in Cardiac Cath Lab or Critical Care preferred
  • Critical thinking skills to anticipate and prevent deterioration in patient stability during and after procedures preferred
  • Experience in assisting with set up of invasive lines such as Arterial Lines preferred

Department/Unit Summary

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the interventional radiology setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in interventional radiology nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents.
