Why Us: Job Description:The Director of Sales and Marketing will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership. This individual will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing, including communications strategies for the organization, the community, and our members. The Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns, managing relationships with agencies on retainer, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to promote the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership, attract new members, and engage existing members.
- Oversee communications strategies for the organization, the community, and our members, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
- Manage relationships with agencies on retainer, providing direction and guidance to ensure the successful execution of projects and deliverables.
- Drive sales initiatives to increase membership and sponsorship revenue, leveraging sales knowledge and experience to achieve results.
- Develop and execute full-scale marketing campaigns that encompass more than social media, including media relations, design work, press releases, and script writing.
- Oversee daily social media content, ensuring it aligns with overall marketing objectives and engages our audience effectively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate media relations efforts, including drafting press releases and pitching stories.
- Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to track performance and optimize campaigns for maximum impact.
- Provide strategic guidance to the team and senior leadership, leveraging industry expertise and staying abreast of current trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably with a background in agency work.
- Proven track record of driving results through sales and marketing initiatives.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple priorities and see projects through to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing full-scale marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in media relations, design work, press releases, script writing, and editing.
- Ability to operate as both a strategist and executor, balancing long-term vision with day-to-day execution.
- Must have a portfolio of previous work
