Phillips & Jordan is seeking a CDL Driver/Assistant Builder to join their team.

If you hold a valid CDL A or B license and have at least 5 years of driving experience, Phillips & Jordan wants to hear from you If you are located on the east coast, you will be traveling between KY, WV, VA, TN, MI, OH, and IN. If you are centrally located, you will be traveling between TX, OK, AK, and LA.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Possess valid CDL Driver’s license and medical certification
  • Practice good safety habits from company and as required under Federal and State DOT
  • Must be able to read road maps and work in dusty or dirty surroundings
  • Follow instructions and meet set standards for hauling and scheduling
  • Judge distances and slopes accurately and make decisions based on verifiable standards
  • Maintains visibility with operator throughout course of loading and unloading trailer
  • Have good vision and hearing (either naturally or with correction)
  • Frequently lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Routine climbing into/out of equipment while maintaining 3 points of contact
  • Assist with building on fencing around substations as required
  • Manual labor is required in assisting with fence installation, ie. (hand tools, spotting, etc.)
  • Follows Company and FDOT safety requirements in performance of duties
