Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion 

Job Description: 

 

  Overall Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as an ambassador and advocate for inclusive and equitable initiatives. 
  • Act as a strategic partner to our leaders, DEI workgroups and key stakeholders/investors. 
  • Develop and align DEI initiatives with business strategies focusing on the overall workforce, marketplace and community. 
  • Research benchmarks, develop and deliver innovative inclusive programs that align with business objectives. 
  • Evaluate and analyze feedback measuring the effectiveness and ROI of programs and processes in meeting business goals. This includes defining metrics for measuring the effectiveness of initiatives implemented, and reporting progress to stakeholders. 
  • Assess the overall management of our DEI volunteer workgroups, multiple projects and processes to support and enhance the effectiveness of programs. 
  • Engage key stakeholders and business partners in DEIB efforts and programs and grow the DEIB focused working groups in order to address the industry’s greatest challenges and opportunities  
  • Build relationships and execute programming with internal teams and external organizations focused on empowering underrepresented groups. 
  • Use influence to drive engagement and accountability for the organization’s culture. 
  • Maintains knowledge of accessibility and diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED 

Basic Qualifications/skills: 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication and presentation skills. 
  • Demonstrated history of designing and implementing DEIB data-driven programs that drive impact across various entities and job functions 
  • History of project/program management skills with demonstrated good judgment, innovative thought-leadership, and creativity 
  • Experience with facilitation and internal/external presenting 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

Preferred Qualifications/skills: 

  • Minimum of 8-10 years diversity, equity and inclusion experience, designing, executing and reporting on DE&I programs. 
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of diversity, equity and inclusion and their impact to business and the community. 
  • Strategic mindset with a bias towards action and creative problem-solving 
  • Strong collaborator and influencer - ability to influence and lead change initiatives with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex ideas, unique concepts, and proposals. 
  • A high level of organizational skills and time management.  
  • High level of passion of equity and ethics in the work environment 

 

Salary Range: $150K - $165K per year base salary depending on educational attainment and work experience
