Site Quality Lead

As the Verdeco Indiana Site Quality Leader, you will provide leadership and coaching on site level strategic quality system initiatives and quality control inspection activities to drive a zero-defect culture. You will be responsible for developing strategic actions aligned to the site level Quality system, Quality control objectives and KPIs. (MRB & nonconformance, CAPA, site PPM metrics, etc.)
This role will require established problem-solving skills to develop root-cause corrective action (RCCA), process improvement through digital solutions, process capability and data analytics for the plant. You will design and deliver training solutions around the quality initiatives and zero-defect culture for the site.
As the Site Quality Lead, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and indirectly to the Corp Quality Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Drive a culture of quality compliance and continuous improvement.
· Deep understanding of the Verdeco Quality Management System
· Ability to manage quality compliance on product deliverables to a diverse customer base
· Manage the site CAPA system and CAPA KPIs, weekly CAB meetings
· Facilitate weekly MRB meetings
· Site Internal and Customer Audits
· Lead a team of QC inspection personnel
· Direct Support of QC inspection activities as needed
· Support the integration of Quality and optimize the use of quality tools.
· Monthly Site Quality KPI reporting to Corp Quality Manager
· Monitor, coach and coordinate the delivery of training on topics such as RCCA, process improvements, inspection and testing.
· Provide expertise in analyzing learning needs, designing training solutions and launching the solutions into the team.
· Communicate solutions across the Verdeco quality organization and with cross-functional partner organizations.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or associate's degree and at least 3 years of people leadership/management and quality experience under formal QMS (ISO 9001:2015, GMP, ISO 22000, AS9100, etc.)
· Minimum of 3 years of quality experience in a Quality Assurance departmental role (Quality Engineer, Quality Systems Engineer, Quality Manager, Quality Auditor, etc.)
Desired Characteristics
· 3 Years plastics processing environment (resin manufacturing/extrusion/etc.)
· Proven track record of high levels of production floor engagement and leader of cultural change. Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization.
· Proven understanding of key Quality improvement tools, including problem solving and RCCA, Mistake Proofing
· Strong oral and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
· Self-motivated leader with ability to motivate others and achieve results.
· Demonstrated commitment for process improvement.
· QMS Lead Auditor or QMS Auditor certification or equivalent (Exemplar Global, ASQ CQE, etc.) or documented formal Internal Auditor training and experience
· Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent Quality certification
