What You Can Expect

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our essential IT infrastructure. This role involves overseeing operating systems, security tools, business applications, servers, software, and hardware. The ideal candidate will be proactive, taking ownership of projects and solutions that align with our broader business initiatives. You will collaborate with both internal and external partners to address project needs, execute mitigation activities, and document all efforts.


Key Responsibilities:


Administer Server Tasks:


Manage user/group accounts, security permissions, group policies, patching, and testing.

Investigate and address event-log warnings and errors.

Monitor resources to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.

System Monitoring and Maintenance:


Monitor the health of on-premise and cloud systems using management tools.

Respond promptly to security issues.

Assist in building, testing, and maintaining new servers as needed.

Security Management:


Maintain the security of internal infrastructure including laptops, desktops, servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.

Ensure timely security updates.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:


Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of incidents.

Provide technical support to mitigate issues.

Audits and Compliance:


Conduct routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups, to ensure their reliability and security.

What You’ll Bring

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or Computer Science.

Experience: 10 or more years of related experience with a proven track record in IT roles.

Skills:

Proficiency in Windows and *nix systems administration.

Knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, and current equipment/technologies.

Experience with enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, and virtualization.

Experience in application security, system integration, and cloud computing, specifically with Microsoft Azure.

SIEM experience, with a preference for Splunk.
