Hardware Test Engineer - New York, NY


Job Description:

Meta's EMG Wrist Wearables team is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to join their team in New York, NY This team is looking for a Hardware focused test engineer with prior experience developing python scripts for electronic device testing, test automation, and data collection. The ideal candidate will have a background developing python code for testing similar electronic devices and have experience collecting power, sensor, thermal, and device performance data.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Write effective, scalable python code for hardware test automation
  • Collect device power/performance data and analyze power/performance data
  • Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
  • Review and approve modifications to existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
  • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Improve functionality of existing systems
  • Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions


Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in Python (2+ years)
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.


Nice to Have:

  • Computer engineering, interacting with hardware devices
  • Analyzing power and performance data, data analysis, Tables Graphs (Python)
  • Robotics Background


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required.
