Beacon Hill Life Sciences is actively recruiting for a Histotechnologist (Senior Research Associate / Associate Scientist) to work a contract assignment located in Cambridge, MA.
Duration: At least 6 months, possibility of extension
Pay Rate: Based on experience, up to pay rate of $60/hour
Location: Cambridge, MA (100% onsite required)
Responsibilities:
- Gross, process, and embedding tissues in paraffin
- Cut sections by microtome or cryostat
- Print cassettes and organize blocks
- Perform H&E and other special staining
- Scan slides
- Record projects through Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)
- Maintain lab areas and instruments
Qualitifcations:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, or related discipline or equivalent education
- 5+ years of histology experience (hospital pathology lab experience preferred)
- Histology and/or ASCP certifications are preferred.
- Detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
