Seasonal WorkerJoin our team Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is accepting applications for seasonal workers to work on a commercial construction jobsite during the winter season. This is a temporary position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Under supervision, this position performs basic construction tasks.Shovel dirt and/or rubble.Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.Perform material handling and storage.Load and unload trucks, manually haul and/or hoist materials.Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction projects.Perform manual work in preparing surfaces.Requirements:Must be 18 years or olderHigh School Diploma or equivalentPrior training or experience preferred but not requiredPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/or precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
