We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to lead our Chocolate Production facility where these confections are produced. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the chocolate production planning process as well as the day-to-day production execution. This position will be required to ensure that quality assurance standards are at the forefront of everything that is done within the production facility. Furthermore, the team must be led to efficiently meet production targets and minimize waste.


Due to the nature of our business, the ideal Production Manager will also have several years of experience with chocolate. It is critical that the manager understands how to create recipes as well as how to modify and/or adjust recipes as needed. In addition, there will be some responsibility for research and development of new recipes and products that align with our brand standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of optimizing production processes.


Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and manage all production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust them as needed to meet customer demands and deadlines.
  • Manage and optimize resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets.
  • Lead a team of production employees, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and quality control.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety regulations throughout the production process.


Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of chocolate or similar food manufacturing experience.
  • Currently holds an HACCP certification or one similar.
  • Background and knowledge in chocolate.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and control principles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize production processes.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
