TSI ‘s service area covers northern Illinois, eastern Iowa, and the U.P. of Michigan with distribution centers based in Madison and Green Bay.

Job Summary:

This position provides engineering, design and drafting for commercial and residential HVAC hydronic systems. Must be able to make occasional site visits with other TSI personnel and/or TSI customers. This position reports to the Engineering & Design Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To Be… Punctual, cooperative, dependable, and able to take direction.
  • Proficiencies in Hydronic system components and systems.
  • Residential and Commercial hydronic system designs and layout.
  • Willingness to make job site visits and travel as needed.
  • Interact with current customers in troubleshooting Hydronic systems.
  • Preparation of HVAC systems proposals /bids for use by TSI customers / clients / contractors.
  • Interact with potential and current customers, TSI employees, and sales personnel to address hydronic concerns.
  • Promotes and maintains a flexible cooperative, positive, team-oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
  • Ensures timely, accurate, proper records, files, data bases, etc. are developed and maintained for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Open and willing to perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Associate Degree in Engineering or related field preferred, but not required.
  • Two (2) years or more of experience in HVAC hydronic systems.
  • Experience in TSI software (AutoCad/Visio/Loop Cad, Manual J load calculations)
  • Preferred to have some hands-on experience of hydronic systems installation or similar construction experience.
  • Must possess excellent mechanical aptitude and mathematical abilities, a desire to learn, and natural curiosity for science and the natural world.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, organization, customer relations, problem solving and other follow through skills.
