We are seeking a candidate who is passionate and skilled in both UX/UI design and front-end development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for current and growing web technologies, a strong understanding of front-end development principles, and the ability to work on a variety of design and development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Development of custom WordPress themes with custom page templates using design of pages and messaging / copy provided.
  • Develop user interfaces for web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal viewing experience across devices.
  • Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to integrate UI components into web applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure website functionality and performance.
  • Strong knowledge of development, staging, and production stages to launch website, with day to day incoming requests and or updates from clients.

  • 6+ years of professional experience as a front-end web developer with a strong knowledge of UI / UX design and implementing designs perfectly.
  • Expert in HTML, PHP SCSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript libraries (JQuery)
  • React, Next.js, Vue.js or similar required to build Headless CMS
  • Headless CMS - ability to develop a website using JavaScript frameworks
  • Develop Custom WordPress themes
  • Clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Test and debug code to ensure functionality across devices and platforms.
  • Responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • ADA compliance standards knowledge / implementation
  • Strong problem-solving skills & ability to strategically achieve tasks with a never give up attitude
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to work in a face paced environment
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, and other analytical platforms.
  • Expert in Advanced Custom Fields on WordPress (plugin)
  • Ability to add actions / hooks and more into WP functions or elsewhere without changing plugins that may need advanced functionality and think creatively. (i.e. use WP Forms to send secure forms to remote storage (Google Drive, s3 Bucket, or Dropbox) while not storing the files uploaded on the server.


  • AWS knowledge as well as permissions in Lightsail, EC2, S3, or WP Engine, and other top leading cloud platforms for hosting
  • Email Campaigns - Ability to design and work with Mailchimp / Constant Contact, Klaviyo or similar
  • Video/ Movement Enhancing Experience - implementing video, movement, hover action states, animation, transitions
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on design solutions.
  • Continue to Stay Updated - on design, development and best practices in front-end web design and development.
  • Strong visual design skills, particularly regarding layout and typography
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think quickly and respond intelligently in client presentations
  • Ability to work autonomously, while remaining responsive to internal communication.

  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on designs.
