Seeking an Assistant Director of Lease Administration for our Corporate office in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is an integral Team Member who provides First Class Lease Administration Leadership and Services to our Property Managers, Brokers, Clients, and Corporate Lease Administration Team.


Leadership Role:

  • Assist the Division Director with training and supervising the work of the Lease Admin Team Members,
  • Collaborates with the Division Director to establish performance objectives, training, and development as well as monitor progress in these areas,
  • Assists with on-boarding and off-boarding of properties through the transition phase,
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the Team, Clients, and Tenants.


Lease Administration for a retail and office portfolio includes:

  • Abstract, interpret, and research commercial lease language for maintenance of terms and documents in Yardi,
  • Review and process Operating Expense reconciliations, including, CAM, taxes, insurance, and utilities, ensuring lease compliance,
  • Tenant estoppels due diligence,
  • Financial analysis computing cost analysis, variance, and account reconciliation,
  • Project income recoveries for annual budgets,
  • Maintain Rent Rolls and all financial billings required per lease terms.


The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated self-starter with commercial property experience, strong attention to detail, and superior organizational and time management skills, enjoys working independently and collaboratively with accounting and property management team members. This position requires a candidate who takes initiative and provides accurate, detailed work products in a time-sensitive manner. 


Successful Candidates will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in; Finance, Accounting, or Real Estate
  • 5 years of commercial real estate experience (Lease Admin or Real Estate Accounting)
  • Team oriented
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex commercial lease terminology
  • Experience in abstracting lease documents
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • YARDI experience preferred
  • Must pass background and drug screening
