Job Description:
As the Registrar, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our charter school's administrative functions. You will be responsible for managing student records, enrollment processes, and academic documentation with accuracy and efficiency. The Registrar serves as a vital point of contact for students, parents, faculty, and external stakeholders, providing assistance and guidance related to academic records and enrollment procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including enrollment data, grades, transcripts, attendance records, and other relevant documentation.
- Enrollment and Registration: Oversee the enrollment and registration processes, including new student registration, withdrawal procedures, and student transfers. Collaborate with school administrators to ensure compliance with enrollment policies and procedures.
- Academic Documentation: Prepare and distribute academic reports, transcripts, and other academic documentation as needed. Verify student eligibility for academic honors, awards, and graduation requirements.
- Data Reporting: Generate and analyze data reports related to student enrollment, attendance, and academic performance. Compile statistical information for internal and external reporting requirements.
- Communication and Customer Service: Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries related to student records, enrollment, and academic documentation. Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, faculty, and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Compliance and Regulations: Stay informed about relevant state and federal regulations, as well as charter school policies, pertaining to student records, enrollment, and data privacy. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with school administrators, faculty, and staff to support student success initiatives and academic programs. Participate in meetings, committees, and professional development activities as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a school registrar role or similar administrative position preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and student information systems (e.g., PowerSchool).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with diverse stakeholders.
