Position Overview: The Contracts Counsel will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance on a wide range of contract matters. This role requires a strong background in contract law, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service contracts, and licensing agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on contractual matters and related legal issues.
  • Ensure that contracts are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of contract management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and resolve contract disputes.
  • Stay current on legal developments affecting the company’s operations and advise on necessary updates to contracts and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in Ohio or eligibility for admission.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract law, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
