Position Overview

The Project Engineer will be responsible for various projects working to support the Project Manager and other project stakeholders in the day-to-day project assignments as included below.


Responsibilities

  • The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical review and accuracy of contract drawings, project specifications, and general constructability of miscellaneous and architectural metals
  • The Project Engineer is responsible for R.F.I. [Request For Information] coordination and the technical aspects of structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and architectural metals, from inception through construction
  • The Project Engineer will participate in Building Information Modeling [BIM] processes and regularly coordinate with General Contractors and participating trades
  • The Project Engineer supports all document control procedures and is responsible for importation of shop drawings into system controls [Tekla]
  • The Project Engineer supports the project management team in all aspects of the project lifecycle and will participate in site visits and various project meetings
  • Other duties and task as assigned


Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • 1 year of project management experience in the construction industry preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certified Associate in Project Management [CAPM] or other specialized certification preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to use specialized software and spreadsheets for collaboration and time management
  • Familiarity or understanding of Tekla is preferred but not required
