Job Title: Project/Program Manager III

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Remote (prefer local to Seattle, WA)


Job description:

  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program. Oversees all aspects of projects/program. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.


Key Project:

  • Business Group: US consumables.
  • Team works on internal strategic, process improvement, profitability improvement
  • Single threaded leader for program management in the Productivity pillar that drives category team and retail efficiency
  • Identifying process gaps and drive projects for sustained improvements, influencing and working with technology, operations and business teams and leaders
  • Partner with product managers and data scientists’ teams to influence innovation on existing (or to build new) systems, tools and workflows for category management
  • The Consumables Category Productivity (CCP) team owns driving strategic initiatives and key processes across all Consumables product groups for growth, profitability and efficiency and to improve customer and vendor experience
  • We are looking for an analytical, driven, and creative leader to join the Consumables Category Productivity (CCP) team to drive cross-functional projects for our Consumables businesses (Grocery, Health and Personal Care, Beauty, Baby, and Prime Pantry).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (MBA, Math, Engineering, Science)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Possesses excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done
  • Experience with SQL a plus
  • Lean/Six-Sigma certification is a plus
  • Thrives in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel
  • Strong technical ability and capable of understanding complex data structures to pull base level insights autonomously.

Candidates need quantitative skills:

  • Strong data/analytics skills
  • Experience and comfort with P&L statements including interpreting and aggregating financial data
