Senior Medical Biller

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of medical billing including charge entry claims submission payment posting and accounts receivable followup.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies and government payers.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials collaborating with insurance representatives and internal staff.
- Audit and monitor progress charts to maintain thorough documentation and compliance.
- Generate and report on key performance indicators for billing and revenue cycle management.
- Stay informed on changes in billing regulations and reimbursement policies specific to outpatient psychiatric services.
- Assist in developing and implementing billing policies and procedures for the facility.
RequirementsExperience: Minimum 10 years of experience in medical billing preferably in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
Certifications: ICD10 certification required; certification in medical billing and coding (e.g. AAPC AMBA) is a plus.
Software Skills: Proficiency in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Coding Knowledge: Strong understanding of CPT ICD10 coding and insurance reimbursement processes.
Preferred Experience: Familiarity with nofault and/or workers compensation billing and prior leadership experience.
Skills: Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and thrive in a startup environment.
