Known for its innovative culture and advanced manufacturing capabilities, the organization supports cutting-edge technologies that shape scientific discovery and national security.Job DescriptionEstablish and maintain a team-oriented structure that fosters collaboration, alignment, and mutual support across all team members. Provide leadership and direction to Production Supervisors, Production Operators, and Processing staff, overseeing a workforce of approximately 50-100 employees across three shifts. Ensure manufacturing objectives are aligned with overall company goals and strategic direction. Partner with the Director of Manufacturing to cultivate a flexible, high-performing environment that adapts to business needs and supports employee development and retention. Monitor and manage labor utilization and staffing levels to ensure operational readiness; collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition to maintain a steady pipeline of qualified candidates. Foster strong engagement across all levels of production, promoting open communication, transparency, and a culture receptive to change. Drive operational performance by leveraging teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives; work with production planning to enhance efficiency and output across all shifts. Lead the resolution of daily production challenges by coordinating with maintenance and support teams to address issues quickly and identify root causes. Evaluate capital investment opportunities and support justification for expenditures that enhance current operations or address future business needs. Play an active role in quality initiatives by analyzing performance data and driving targeted improvements. Promote a culture of safety by proactively addressing safety concerns and ensuring timely resolution of any hazards. Oversee all aspects of employee lifecycle management, including hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, coaching, and development of both direct and indirect reports.
