This position is responsible for supporting delivery of the consolidation of the Company's Financial Statements, ensuring integrity of data and maintenance of a robust control environment, having a command of our legal entity and general ledger structures, and driving process improvements. This role will require significant interaction with different areas of the Finance organization, including controllership, investments, as well as various component teams.ResponsibilitiesContributor to the timely and accurate delivery of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including Statements of Equity and Cash FlowsPartner with the SEC Reporting team in preparation and validation of required SEC disclosures for inclusion in the 10-Q and 10-K and ensure compliance with US GAAP and all financial SEC requirementsCollaborate with, and provide expertise, to other teams inside and outside of Controllership related to ledger expertiseCollaborate with Controllership, Systems/IT, Finance Center and other key functions to ensure complex transactions are properly reflected in the consolidated financial statements, issues during quarter close are timely identified and resolved, and a strong feedback loop exists to drive continuous process improvementManage efforts to strengthening the control environment and implementing process improvements (e.g. Project Partner), with a particular focus on enhancing our use of technology and development of automated solutions as Corebridge invests in transforming the Finance functionSupport and contribute to projects and workstreams associated with significant transactions and ad hoc activities, such as acquisitions, spin-offs, de-consolidations, re-segmentations, capital transactions, etc.QualificationsQualified CPA or CPA candidate (preferred not required) with a minimum of 3 plus years of experience. Strong operational and technical accounting experience with U.S GAAP reporting. Some financial services or Big 4 (or close to) experience preferred but not required.Expertise in general ledger software, SAP and BPC a plus.Strong problem solving structuring and counselling / influencing senior leadersExperience operating in a dynamic, transformational environment, where change is embraced and viewed as an opportunity to drive process improvementDemonstrated strong business and financial acumen as well as advanced change management and project management skillsDemonstrated past success at creating or significantly upgrading the function and instilling a culture of continuous process improvementHighly influential and able to flex leadership style according to the situationExcellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation development and delivery, with an ability to effectively work across teamsResilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevereCompensationCorebridge also offers a range of competitive benefits as part of the total compensation package, as detailed below.Health and Wellness: We offer a range of medical, dental and vision insurance plans, as well as mental health support and wellness initiatives to promote overall well-being.Retirement Savings: We offer retirement benefits options, which vary by location.
