ROLE SUMMARY

WasteNot is seeking passionate and outgoing individuals to join our team as a Brand Ambassador for Chicagoland events and markets. At WasteNot, we're devoted to better sustainability in our communities. As a Brand Ambassador, you will be responsible for representing our brand in various settings and engaging with potential customers to promote our products/services. As the first point of contact for WasteNot, you will play a crucial role in increasing brand awareness, driving sales, and building strong relationships with environmentally conscious consumers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent the brand in a positive and professional manner at events, trade shows, and promotional activities.
  • Engage with consumers to create memorable experiences and effectively communicate the brand's message.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the brand's products/services and answer any questions from potential and existing customers.
  • Actively interact with potential customers to generate leads and drive sales.
  • Distribute promotional materials to attract interest and increase brand visibility.
  • Provide consistent, professional to every single customer.
  • Collect feedback from consumers, provide insights to the marketing team, and gather market/event feedback for product/service improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop innovative strategies for brand promotion and customer engagement.
  • Represent the brand on social media platforms by creating engaging content and participating in online conversations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and fun demeanor while representing the WasteNot brand.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, or customer service is preferred. Former brand ambassador experience a plus.
  • Exhibit passion for your local community, an eye for detail, a willingness to be on your feet and talking (a lot), stamina (to be in all weather & service a lot of people) and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, on time, and ready to hustle every shift.
  • Familiar with and the ability to articulate effectively what distinguishes WasteNot from other companies and being able to articulate that to the 1,000th customer with the same care & presence as the first customer.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to engage with diverse and distracted audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and experience with online brand promotion is a plus.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate events and promotions from April-end of October.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to various event locations.
  • Willingness and proficiency to drive commercial, company vehicles.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about the brand and its products/services.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in marketing or related field is a plus.
