Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to drive tax compliance and optimization across multiple corporate entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review comprehensive tax returns (federal, state, local, income, sales, motor fuel, property)
- Develop strategic tax planning approaches in collaboration with external advisors
- Conduct proactive tax research to identify regulatory impacts and opportunities
- Manage quarterly and annual tax provision calculations
- Support tax audits and resolve complex tax-related discrepancies
- Collaborate across teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Continuously improve tax processes and internal controls
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
- 3-5 years tax accounting experience
- Advanced knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas)
- Strong analytical and communication capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills
