Job Description

Our client, a global technology manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant due to growth and market expansion. This position will involve activity around costing, analysis, and inventory. Ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of employees and management. This position will have great high-level exposure to senior executives and VP’s. This is a contract-to-hire position, with a 2-3 month probationary period.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and maintain standard cost system.
  • Perform variance analysis on standard costs, purchase prices, and production orders.
  • Work with multiple operations departments to review purchased material costs, direct labor costs, and overhead costs.
  • Prepare annual budget and monthly reporting & analysis.
  • Establish annual cost standards and updates
  • Assist in monthly financial closings which may include reconciliations of accounts, review and analysis of actual to budget or forecast variances.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial data to be utilized by management to make strategic business decisions.
  • Analyze ROI, profitability and pricing for business unit segments and products.
  • Manage complex special assignments.


Qualifications:

  • B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance or related.
  • 5-10 years of accounting or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Desired advanced certification of CMA, MBA or CPA.
  • Strong experience working with mid-tier ERP system (Epicor, NetSuite, MS Dynamics, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
